Blueprint Media Group (Pty) Ltd is a Level 1 B-BBEE entity formed in 2018 to seize and exploit emerging opportunities in the media and communications industry of South Africa. Its major shareholders are: Blueprint Group (Pty) Ltd, NEHAWU Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, and the URK Holdings Ltd. The shareholders represent key communities in the country: traditional leaders, professional workers, and black-owned businesses. BMG is poised to become a significant player in its niche markets both in South Africa and the African continent at large.

The company is targeting investments beyond media. The company’s investment committee will identify emerging business opportunities downstream and upstream which will not only maximise shareholder value but also fit with its founding philosophy and history as a truly broad-based economic empowerment company focused on bringing on board those on the base of the pyramid in the evolving socio-economic transformation discourse of the country’s recent democracy.
